Recently A. Henriksen Shipping A/S entered into an agreement with RBAI J/V I/S, the consortium building the new bridge across Roskilde Fjord, Kronprinsesse Marys Bro (Crown Princess Mary’s Bridge).
During the coming 8-9 months a total of 492 concrete elements for the construction of the bridge will arrive by vessels calling the Port of Frederiksvaerk. The elements, each weighting between 90 and 110 TS, shall be discharged by A. Henriksen Shipping, stored at the key and subsequently loaded onto heavy haulers for the further transportation from the port to the building site near Frederikssund.
A. Henriksen Shipping has been able to win the contract thanks to the recent acquisition of a brand new Liebherr LHM 550 crane which with a total lifting capacity of 144 TS has ample power for handling the bridge elements in a safe and efficient way. In addition to the actual handling of the elements A. Henriksen Shipping will carry out a number of added services, including being the port agent in Frederiksvaerk for the more than 40 port calls related to the project.
